TWSS 2016 features new VSim user training, training and presentations on VSim for Electromagnetics, VSim for Microwave Devices, VSim for Plasma Discharges, and VSim for Plasma Acceleration, as well as advanced VSim user training. In addition, as in years past, Tech-X will offer the user favorite: an open problem solving session on Friday.
Bring your questions and plan to network with and share tips and tricks with researchers tackling similar challenges.

October 20, Thursday: Application-specific VSim Topics TBD
October 21, Friday 9 am–2 pm: Individual Problem Solving and Consulting
The final TWSS agenda will be determined by the interests of registered attendees.
Tech-X will be providing light refreshments and lunches.
Participants are asked to provide their own laptops. Recommended minimum system requirements are:
- 64-bit Windows, Mac, or Linux operating system
- CUDA-enabled Nvidia graphics card (optional for GPU acceleration)
- 8 GB of RAM or more
- At least a 2-core processor (4-core preferred)*
*The number of processor cores and memory in your system will determine the size of the problem that you can do in a reasonable time. Whereas simple problems can be done on the most basic systems, more interesting problems can be done on a system with moderate processing power of 2-4 cores and 8 GB of RAM.
The 2016 Tech-X Worldwide Simulation Summit is being held in the university town of Boulder, Colorado. Boulder is located at the foot of the scenic Rocky Mountains. Immediate access is available for outdoor adventure, including leisurely day hikes, mountain biking on local trails, and rock climbing. In addition to Boulder area festivals and CU Boulder arts and cultural events, the metropolitan Denver area offers many concerts, shows, and attractions.
For more information about lodging, restaurants, and recreational activities to enjoy during your stay, please see the Boulder Comvention and Visitors Bureau website and list of hotels and accommodations.
